First things first, when a player is given points in the basketball? The player has to pass their ball through the hoop to receive points. There will be two hoops present in the basketball field, and the player has to make it to the opposite team’s circle and pass the ball from it. This passing of the ball from the ring is called shooting. Basketball isn’t a game where one size fits all adage can be used. In this game, the scoring depends upon the place from where the player shoots the ball.

Yes, if you are in a particular position while shooting, the score you get will vary. There are three types of points that players usually get in the match. This scoring also depends upon the size of the field too. Depending upon the area, the referees and organizers set up some rules and players should be able to meet up with all the requirements to make it big in the match. Types Of Scores: NBA Basketball Scores

There are three types of scores that players can get in this match.

Three-Point Shot

Let us start with the highest scoring points in NBA basketball scores. The three-point shot is the first thing that you have to look out here. A particular three-point line is drawn in the stadium, and the player who can make a shot from outside of this three-point line will get three points. After releasing the ball from his or her hands, the player can step in the three-point line. There is no limitation on that, and the player will get three points either way.

Two-Point Shot

The two-point shot should be the one that is made from inside the three-point line. If any player steps on the three-point line before releasing the ball, then that shot is a two-point shot only.
